Deleting a Contact from a Project

A consultant is not involved in the project and wants to be removed from project correspondence. They are not on any submittals or RFIs, but the person was Cced on one submittal. They cannot be removed from the project. If a person is not a reviewer on RFIs or submittals can you make it so they can be removed from a project?
