We're a GC in the hotel renovation business and when we prepare our estimates, we break it down by room types, which would be equivalent to locations in SAGE CM. Examples would be "Typical King Rooms" or "King Suites" or "King ADA Rooms" or "Typical Double Queen Rooms" with each of these room types being a location in SAGE CM. Each room type (location) then has "x" number of rooms that match that room type. Our estimated items have not only their respective "unit cost times quantity" factors, but then each item is also multiplied by "x" number of rooms to arrive at the extended cost per item.
By adding the quantity field in the location and making it flow through to the estimate items as a potential multiplier, it will eliminate the need to write custom formulas in SAGE CM, which will grow exponentially because each hotel project has a different number of room types and quantities.
