Edit Checklist Items from within the Checklist Template
I see a way to add checklists and new items to the checklist templates but having ability to edit an existing checklist template would be nice.

Says it already exists but you can't edit an item in a checklist template. You can only change it once added to the project.
To edit an existing template the only option is to copy existing wording (assuming its a minor change) and then delete the item and readd and modify text before saving. Just make note of the order number to add it back in the same sequence.
The other option is to copy the template items out to excel and edit it to be like the import file. Note however the way sections are displayed in the template you can't copy them so you would have to make sure to redo in the excel. Then delete the entire template and re-add.
If it could be made to edit items in the template it would be good to be able to edit the order number to be able to re-sequence the checklist items if required
We have those options as well. Please follow this path and the instructions below:
Project Home > Quality Control (QC) & Safety > Checklist
Select (Click on) a Checklist Name From the Checklist Details view, select the EDIT button at the top right to change the Checklist Name In the Checklist Items section, click the EDIT LIST option. Here is a screen shot to help you find these features:
Yes, but we cannot edit those items once the template has been imported into the project. Is that accurate? For instance, if the checklist template has 30 items but two are not applicable or the wording has to be revised, can I edit those line items?
Checklist items can be edited once the checklist template is imported into the project. The Checklist Templates (found in Settings > Templates & Reports > Checklist Templates) can be edited by entering a new Checklist Item to the existing Checklist Template with the changes wanted, using the same Order Number, and then delete the Checklist Item that you are replacing.
It would be nice if an Admin user could change the existing Checklist Items, add or change the Order Number or add a Section without deleting the existing checklist item. I am going to edit the Idea description to clarify what we are asking for. Please let me know if we missed anything.
